Tourism in eastern Indonesia continues to grow, though still constrained infrastructure. The Government continues to develop connectivity between the region that tourists come more easily and generate economic benefits for the local community.

Currently , one area that has been popular among foreign tourists is the Park with Labuan Bajo as the gates. Will be opened even easier access to other areas in Flores so tourists have many options other than the tourist island of Komodo.

"Hong Kong has been very good as a gateway to Komodo Island, later lived infrastructure repairs and opening up access to more points in Flores and surrounding areas," said Mari Elka Pangestu, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, in Jakarta, recently.
He hopes, with unfettered access to Flores and other areas in West Nusa Tenggara, tourists will stay longer in the region. "So after seeing the dragons , they can take a walk to Flores and the surrounding areas," he said.

Besides Flores, Mari also expects to open easier access to Sumba also Lembata. " These areas have tremendous potential for tourism" he said.
